Integration Service Centre: Projects

A. Raad voor Raad (Advice for councils)
These are quarterly meetings for municipal council members at which themes are discussed which are important to integration at local level. Local experience provides a valuable contribution to the national integration debate.

B. Gemeenschappelijke Integratie Agenda (GIA)
(GIA, Municipal Integration Agenda)
A municipal portal for local civil servants working on integration policy which is coordinated nationally by the Integration Service Centre by matching it to the municipal integration agenda. The Extranet site provides expertise and information and also has a platform for discussion, the exchange of information and inter-municipal cooperation. Municipalities can also maintain their own page on the site.

C. Emancipation pool
Forum has years of expertise on the emancipation and social participation of ethnic minority women at local level. Two instruments have been developed: the Emancipation pool and local support teams (LOTs). The project leads discussions and dialogues and encourages municipalities and social organisations to draw up a plan for tackling the issue and implementing solutions using the findings. There are also pilot projects which focus on men and boys. LOTs concentrate on promoting a successful emancipation policy in municipalities.
