  • Strengthening knowledge of and dialogue with the Islamic/Arab world – Programme Rabat
    The Rabat research programme is a collaboration of FORUM and Leiden University, faculty of Humanities. The goal of the research programme is to gain insight into the relationship between the Moroccan community in the Netherlands and Morocco, and the influence of this relationship on identity formation of Dutch people with a Moroccan background.
  • MIPEX – Migrant Policy Index
    MIPEX is a project initiated by the Migrant Policy Group, an independent, non-profit, European organisation in Brussels, in cooperation with the British Council. MIPEX measures policies to integrate migrants in EU Member States and three non-EU countries.
  • European Website on Integration
    The European Web Site on Integration is an online toolkit for individuals and organisations who are engaged with migrants. It functions as a documentation facility, an on-line data collection tool for good practices and a platform for the direct exchange of information between stakeholders.

  • Head of Network for the Anna Lindh Foundation 
    In October 2009 FORUM has become the Head of Network for the Anna Lind Foundation in the Netherlands. The Anna Lindh Foundation is an organisation shared and resourced by over forty Euro-Mediterranean countries, bringing people together as a way to promote dialogue between cultures and respect for diversity.
  • SAFIRE – Scientific Approach to Fighting Radical Extremism  
    SAFIRE is the Scientific Approach to Fighting Radical Extremism. It is a consortium with nine different international partners, funded by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission.
  • Human Rights Report
    This report presents insights into the operation of international and national actors in the process of monitoring the Netherlands’ compliance with international Human Rights standards between the years 2000 and 2008.
  • Chinese in the Netherlands 
    Chinese in the Netherlands is an exploratory research project into the social, economic and political situation of Chinese immigrants in the Netherlands and the effects of their presence on Dutch society.
  • Connecting Identities 
    In the spring of 2009 (16-28 May 2009) FORUM, Institute for Multicultural Development - in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affaires and the Dutch Embassies – organised a week of international encounter for European youth. This in accordance to the project Connecting Identities; FORUM’s long-term platform of dialogue and identity development.FORUM has been actively occupied with the exchange project Connecting Identities since 2005. The institute organised several (inter)national journeys for youngsters with different cultural, ethnical and religious backgrounds. The project took place in Morocco, Turkey, The Netherlands, Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

  • Roma and Sinti
    Part of the work of FORUM is dedicated towards the Sinti, Roma (‘gypsies’) and the Dutch policy concerning  these groups, including ‘caravan dwellers’ or ‘travellers’. Our projects vary from capacity building and  empowerment of grass root organisations on local or national level to expert meetings and advise.
